Nomad Pass (Nomad Subscription Orders)

Objective: The Nomad Pass (Nomad Subscription Orders) is evolving from a single Europe regional subscription into a persistent, reusable eSIM product. It aims to increase user retention, repeat purchases, and annual ARPU by offering a durable connectivity wallet.

Available on the Nomad app only.

Launching time: 2026.10.20

In the meantime, the old 1GB Europe 35-country Nomad Pass will be retired.

Differences Between the Old Europe Nomad Pass and the New Nomad Pass

  1. Subscription Type and Destination Options: Both are subscription plans. However, the new Nomad Pass offers users more destination options.

  2. Always-On Plan and Add-ons:

    • Old Europe Nomad Pass: Add-ons are limited to the Europe 35-country plan.

    • New Nomad Pass: Includes an Always-On plan, and users can purchase add-ons for either a single country or a regional plan.

  3. Subscription Duration:

    • Old Europe Nomad Pass: Billed monthly.

    • New Nomad Pass: Users can choose a subscription duration of 30, 90, 180, or 365 days.

  4. Coexistence of Subscriptions and Migration:

    • Existing subscribers of the old Nomad Pass can also subscribe to Version 2. This means users can have two subscription orders under the same account.

    • However, Version 1 can only be topped up with the Europe plan, and existing Version 1 subscriptions cannot be converted or migrated to Version 2.

  5. Complimentary 1GB data Usage Before Purchasing Add-ons

    • Old Nomad Pass: The complimentary 1 GB of data is consumed first, before the purchased add-on data plan.

    • New Nomad Pass: The purchased add-on data plan is consumed first, while the complimentary 1 GB of data serves as a backup.

    • eSIM Reinstallation: With the new Nomad Pass, users can purchase add-ons for different destinations without reinstalling their eSIM.
