Subscribing to Nomad Pass automatically bumps you up to Nomad Explorer, skipping the standard $21 USD spend requirement.
If you cancel your Nomad Pass, your status will be re-ranked based on your actual spend. If you haven’t organically spent $21 USD, you will fall back to Nomad Traveler.
Your tier standing for the upcoming year is calculated during a unique 30-Day Evaluation Window at the end of your annual cycle. Your total cumulative purchases during these final 30 days to determine your rank for the next 365 days.
If your 365-day cycle ends on July 31, 2027, your evaluation window runs from July 2, 2027, to July 31, 2027. If your cumulative spend hits $36.00 during this 30-day window, you will automatically be promoted/re-ranked to the Nomad Explorer tier for the entire 2027–2028 cycle.
If you request a refund for a data plan or purchase, your tier standing will be automatically re-evaluated.
If a refund causes your total annual spending to drop below the minimum requirement for your current tier, you will automatically fall back to your previous tier.
